Friends of Inspirations win June Callwood Award from the Province of Ontario

We are thrilled and honoured to announce that The Friends of Inspirations were recognised by The Government of Ontario, this week, with the June Callwood Award for Volunteerism. This is a well-deserved celebration of the incredible work that was involved in first, saving the studio from the brink of closure in 2017, and then safely stewarding the program to it's forever home with YWCA Toronto in 2022.

The Friends are a diverse group, that through great effort, untold hours of hard work, enthusiasm and sharing of expertise, managed and raised funds for Inspirations for five years. This was achieved with the help and mentorship of the Neighbourhood Group’s Trustee Hub

This evolving group of volunteers acted as Inspirations Studio's steering committee during tumultuous times and remain committed to the program, now acting as an advisory group working to assist YWCA Toronto in finding stability for the program.

As Inspirations Studio enters it's 30th year, it is clear, that community support is what got us here!

So, lets take a moment to celebrate an example of what happens when people get determined! With our Friends by our side, we look forward to another 30 years.
